The BJP councillor said the MC officials did not care about the problems being faced by the city residents and show their helplessness in getting the problems solved. He alleged the executive engineer and the SDO of adopting non responsive behaviour and said he had been complaining for the last 3 months in this regard but till now no action has been taken by the officials. Aggarwal said he had even written to the MC chief in the past but to no avail.
The contractor, however, claims that no payment had been made to him by the municipal corporation , which is affecting the work.
Aggarwal further said that the councillors of other wards, including senior deputy mayor Sunita Aggarwal, was facing troubles due to the same problem. He added that he along with other councillors were planning to meet the MC chief in the coming days
Meanwhile municipal corporation chief Ghanshyam Thori said he would look into the matter. He added that payment to the contractor would be released soon.
